Overcoming
the Ten Major Reasons
Why Affirmations Don't work:
a)
The Belief in Victim-hood
-- someone
or something else is in control of your life -- a good life
is impossible -- misery is inevitable -- it can't be any
other way -- life sucks and then you die.
If
the above statement comes even remotely close to describing
your life, you have two choices -- change your beliefs or
live the remainder of your life in misery.
Most
people believe that that the external world comes first and
what they experience in the physical world is the sum total of reality.
Most
people believe that what they experience is the way things
are, that they have little or no control of their
circumstances or experiences. They believe that
to change something one must start by making changes in the
external world.
The
Alternative:
Realize that
you are actually experiencing a manifestation of what you
believe. Your
experience is a product of your thoughts, attitudes, emotions, beliefs, and expectations.
Thought
always precede experience. We have heard that
for centuries. (For example, "According to your faith,
so be it onto you.") Change your
thoughts, attitudes, emotions, beliefs, and expectations and
your life will change.
b)
Low Self Esteem and Lack of Confidence in One's Self.
Low
self image, a lack of self worth, and belief in guilt have been
programmed into most humans since birth. If you
believe that you are incompetent, that you are unworthy,
that you were born in sin, that you are innately evil, and that
every time you miss the mark, you should be punished,
how can you possibly experience any joy and freedom in your
life.
The
Alternative:
Realize
that there is no one greater than you. There is no one
lesser, either. Do the following two statements sound
familiar? If not, study them intently.
"You
are a child of The Universe. Just like the stars the
birds and the trees, you have a right to be."
"We
hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they
are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these
are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."
You
are not subject of a king or beholding to a government for
your rights. They are innately yours simply by being
born. For example, the Bill of Rights in the United
states Constitution does not grant you anything. In
spite of what the dominator/manipulators tell you, the
original thirteen amendments were designed to be and are
restrictions on the government activity. They
were designed to prevent "legal"
tyranny. Our founding fathers were human like
the rest of us and, Unfortunately, they forgot to include a
few critical restrictions, but that's another story for
another time.
c)
Not understanding the creative process.
Most
people have never even heard of "The
Three Universal Laws of Creation." If you
don't know the rules of the game how can you possibly play
with any degree of success.

Not being clear and specific on what is desired / required /

The

your affirmation process:

Believing that You Should to be Punished for Your Mistakes:
Sin,
guilt, and punishment are at the core of a horrendous,
negative, downward spiral. It starts with a belief
that it's not OK to miss the mark (to
make a mistake) -- that missing the mark is
"wrong." -- and when you do something wrong, you
should be punished.
This
belief invites the mind to focus is on what isn't
working. The focus is on the past. The
focus is on blame. The focus is on guilt
in a context that guilt should be punished. Fear of
being punished tells the universe to bring more
punishment. It also distracts attention from the
goal which invites the distracted mind to generate more
mistakes and this starts the cycle all over again.
The
Alternative:
Begin
by realizing that the most successful people are those who
have made the most mistakes. Missing the mark, making
a mistake and getting something other than what we desired
is a normal part of life. It's the way we learn and
become more clear on what we do want. A mistake is
simply a message about how to make a mid-course correction
and shift our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, words, and/or
actions and re-direct them with renewed commitment and
confidence toward our goal.
There
is within each of us a natural correction mechanism that
says, "Don't do that again. Here's why.
First, it didn't get you where I wanted to go, second, it
harmed you or someone else, or third, it harmed the
ecosystem which supports your life.
"Sin," which is the original meaning of
"missing the mark" has been used by the
dominator-manipulators for centuries as a tool for political
and economic control. Flush sin, guilt, and
punishment down the toilet where they belong.
j)
Holding conflicting beliefs:
The
classic and probably the most universal of all conflicting
belief comes directly out of the Christian Bible.
Approximately two billion people believe that the Christian
Bible is the word of God and is the truth. How many of
those same people believe the following words from that book
spoken by Jesus, "Anything I can do, you can do and
more."
Our
personal lives are filled with similar, less obvious,
conflicting beliefs. Symbolically speaking, if you
have thirty seven horses pulling you north and thirty eight
pulling you south, you may may give up long before you make
any significant southward movement.
The
Alternative:
Of
the above ten major reason why our lives aren't working, holding
conflicting beliefs is probably the most difficult of all to
overcome. This topic has a complete section devoted to

In
a computer, you can have a thousand things exactly right and
only one thing wrong and the computer won't work.
Affirmation process is similar in that if you have an error
is any one of the ten major components mentioned above,
your affirmations won't work.

Follow
the road map:
Follow
the steps below with the same confidence that you would follow a
road map. Remember,
the Universe is quite literal in bringing you the manifestation of
your thoughts, visualizations, feelings, words and actions.
If you don’t visualize, verbalize, feel the related
feelings and then take appropriate action regarding what you choose,
you won’t get it. If
you do, you will. It’s
really that simple. It
just takes practice to install a few new habits.
Be
clear and concise. Be
consistent, persistent and insistent. Always flow with what feels right in your heart.
If what you get is not what you thought you were creating, say “No thank you.
This is what I choose.” Re-state your intention more clearly and then visualize and
describe it exactly as you choose it to be.
Thousands
of others have successfully managed to manifest their visions and
dreams. Now
it’s your turn.
The
process described below can be used by one individual or by several
individuals collectively. The process is much
more powerful when done by two or more together.
